{Inspiration} A Traditional Red, Green and White Christmas
It’s Christmas in less than 7 days and my last Christmas as Miss Angus. I’m so very excited for 2012 for many reasons; our wedding, my plans for Bow Occasions, the blog and hopefully purchasing our first home.
It’s another Christmas Inspiration Board today. This time its a traditional red, green and white Christmas. A bit different from last week’s pastel Christmas inspiration. I hope that this inspiration board will not only inspire you for weddings but for decorating your home too.

{Inspiration} A Pastel Christmas
Hello and Happy Monday! Can you believe there is now less than two weeks until Christmas… crazy! The boy and I spent yesterday writing Christmas Cards, wrapping presents and putting up the all important Christmas Tree. Couple all that with ELF on TV and I sure am feeling festive.
Over the next few weeks my posts will be mainly Christmas related. I’ll be bringing you Christmas inspiration, a round-up of downloadable Christmas printables and more… I thought I’d start with some colourful Christmas inspiration today… A Pastel Christmas!

What colour are your Christmas decorations this year? We have gone traditional with red and white… do you like?

A Village Fete Themed Inspiration Board
I love creating inspiration boards for my clients. It is one of my favourite parts of my job… amongst many other things. At the beginning of each styling job I take on I always start off by creating a selection of inpsiration boards which ensures that my vision of the clients wedding or event is the same as theirs. After all, there’s nothing worse than getting so far down the line and realising you are both singing off different hymn sheets.
I created this inspiration board for a Christening Party that I am planning and styling which is taking place in a gorgeous village hall in the Kent countryside next month. The brief was a relaxed village fete theme.

*If you know the source of the other images in this inspiration board, let me know and I will update the post*
The party will consist of vintage crockery, bunting, afternoon tea, sweet and dessert tables and so much more. I am having so much fun working on this event and can’t wait to share the end result.

French Lavender Wedding Inspiration
As well as changing the services Bow Occasions offers, I have also been away on a lovely relaxing holiday in the South of France. I didn’t know before we went but we were in the Drome region of France which is famous for its Lavender production. It was too early on in the year for us to see any fields of Lavender but there were plenty of Lavender treats available to buy. This inspired me to create my next wedding inspiration board with a French Lavender feel.

Inspiration Board :: Doily Wedding Inspiration
No longer are doilies seen as old fashioned something your grandmother would use… they are now a perfect addition to your wedding. After seeing the gorgeous wedding dress in the inspiration board below, I was inspired to search for other ways you could incorporate doilies into a wedding. Did I mention that the wedding dress was designed and made by the gorgeous bride it features on. Do click on the link to view the full wedding… it is a stunner!
I don’t know about you but I will definitely be including doilies in our wedding decor… and perhaps even the invitations… watch this space.

Colour Inspiration :: Pink Lemonade
I love colour… bright, bold colours especially. I’ve done quite a few inspiration boards on the blog over the past few months that have all included images from weddings found on the internet. How about searching for inspiration from colour, patterns and shape? In between my wedding inspiration boards, I will also be putting together some general inspiration boards which I hope will be perfect for drawing inspiration from for parties or weddings. First up is a favourite of mine… Pink Lemonade.

Inspiration Board :: Valentines Day
Happy Valentines Day – I hope you all have lovely days and evenings planned. Dean and I had an early Valentines Day celebration and went for a meal on Saturday as unfortunately he has to work this evening. I was hoping to do a bit of a Valentines Day themed week last week but all didn’t go to plan as it was manic. I hope you like this Valentines Day Inspiration Board that I have put together for you.

Inspiration Board :: A Mad Men Inspired Wedding Theme
Good morning, I hope you all had wonderful weekends. My weekend was truly fabulous; it started off meeting lots of wonderful fellow members of the wedding industry at The Wedding Ideas Awards 2011 on Friday followed by a day relaxing on Saturday. Sunday started off with a lovely bike ride with the Mr in the morning followed by lunch with my lovely mum and a spot of work in the evening… Perfect!
Anyway, I digress – I am back again this Monday morning with this gorgeous Mad Men Wedding Inspiration Board. I got the Mad Men box set for Christmas; I am totally addicted (I know, I know, where have I been?!?!) and have been totally inspired to create this inspiration board for all fellow Mad Men lovers out there.

Inspiration Board :: A Black and White Silhouette Wedding
Is it really Monday morning already? The weekend goes so quickly doesn’t it. Last weeks blog posts were a bit muddled up and the theme inspiration board was on a Wednesday – for those getting married on New Years Eve, its a must see, you can check it out here. Last week also saw the first real wedding post of the year – A Scottish Affair by Craig and Eva Sanders Photography. Wedding professionals – would you like to put faces to tweets? If so, come along to the South East Wedding Tweet Up.
Right, back to todays post, a lovely Black and White Silhouette Wedding Inspiration Board – perfect for couples getting married at any time of the year. I love the classic black and white colour scheme, it is so elegant. As for the silhouettes, how lovely would it be to have the bride and grooms silhouette right throughout the wedding from the wedding stationery to even having a silhouette artist to entertain your guests.
